FUNCTIONAL HEALTH ASSESSMENT
Want a starting point before jumping into a whole program? Start by understanding what your body is asking for.
If you're dealing with persistent symptoms, confusing lab results, or health concerns that haven't been fully explained, the Functional Health Assessment gives us a place to start.
We'll look at your symptoms, health history, nutrition, lifestyle, and lab work to identify your biggest health priorities and determine what makes sense to investigate next.
You know something isn't right—but you don't know what to do next.
Maybe you've been told everything looks “normal,” but you don't feel normal.
Maybe you've tried eating healthier, cutting out foods, taking supplements, or searching Google for answers—but you're still dealing with the same issues.
Maybe you have bloodwork sitting in your patient portal and no idea what it actually means for you.
You may be thinking:
“Why am I still exhausted when I'm doing everything right?”
“Why is my digestion still a mess?”
“My labs are technically normal, so why don't I feel good?”
“Is something actually going on, or am I overthinking this?”
“What should I actually be eating for my body?”
“What tests do I really need?”
“I don't want to randomly spend hundreds of dollars on supplements or testing.”
“I want to find out what's really driving this.”
You don't need more information. You need someone to help you make sense of YOUR information.
What happens during your Functional Health Assessment?
A personalized health investigation—not a generic nutrition consultation.
Your FHA includes:
1. Comprehensive Health & Symptom Review
We'll look at your health history, current symptoms, concerns, medications, supplements, nutrition, lifestyle, and other relevant factors to understand the bigger picture.
2. Comprehensive Bloodwork
We'll use a comprehensive blood panel (over 50 markers) to gather objective information about what's happening in your body and identify areas that deserve a closer look.
3. Functional Nutrition Analysis
I'll connect the dots between your symptoms, health history, nutrition, lifestyle, and available lab data to identify your highest-priority areas to address.
4. 60-Minute Personalized Consultation
We'll walk through your findings together so you don't just receive a report, so you actually understand what it means and why it matters.
5. Your Personalized Next Steps
You'll leave knowing what I'd prioritize first and what your next steps could look like.
If deeper investigation is warranted, we'll determine whether additional functional testing makes sense and which tests could actually give us useful information.
Here's what makes the FHA different?
We don't test everything just because we can.
Your Functional Health Assessment is the starting point for figuring out what questions still need answers.
Instead of:
Random symptoms → random supplements → random tests → more confusion
We take a more strategic approach:
Your health story → initial data → identify priorities → determine what needs further investigation → personalized plan
This is where we'll figure out what tests you actually need instead of randomly ordering labs.
What you can walk away with
By the end of your assessment, you'll have a much clearer understanding of:
✅ Your biggest health priorities
✅ Potential areas contributing to your symptoms
✅ What your current nutrition and lifestyle may be telling us
✅ What your bloodwork reveals about your health
✅ Which areas deserve more attention
✅ Whether additional functional testing may be appropriate
✅ The nutrition, supplement, and lifestyle strategies I'd prioritize
Most importantly, you'll have a direction.
Instead of leaving with another 20 things you could try, you'll know where I'd start and why.
Who is the Functional Health Assessment for?
The FHA is a great starting point if you're someone who:
Has persistent symptoms
You've been dealing with digestive issues, fatigue, brain fog, blood sugar concerns, skin issues, or other symptoms that haven't completely resolved.
Has health concerns but doesn't know where to start
You've accumulated advice, supplements, diets, and information—but you don't have a personalized strategy.
Wants to look deeper
You're not satisfied with simply managing symptoms and want to better understand what may be contributing to how you feel.
Wants a natural, nutrition-focused approach
You want to use food, targeted supplements, lifestyle, and appropriate testing as tools to support your health.
Wants someone to connect the dots
You don't need another generic meal plan.
You want someone to actually look at YOUR picture.
What happens after the assessment?
You are not required to purchase another program.
Sometimes your next step may simply be implementing a few personalized nutrition and lifestyle recommendations.
Sometimes we'll determine that additional testing would be useful.
And if your health picture is more complex and you want deeper support, the FHA can lead into my TRUE Food as Medicine 1:1 program.
The assessment comes first. The plan comes from what we find.
First, let's figure out what you actually need.
Your Functional Health Assessment includes the assessment process, comprehensive bloodwork, functional nutrition analysis, and your personalized 60-minute consultation.
If we determine that additional functional testing or deeper support would be beneficial, we'll discuss those options separately.
You don't have to commit to everything upfront.
