Welcome to True Nutrition & Wellness
Hi there! I'm Tatum McGehee, NTP, RWP

Back in college, I watched both of my parents go through a series of serious health challenges—melanoma, atrial fibrillation, organ prolapse, and even surgery for something called Zenker’s diverticulum due to complications from a previous neck surgery. It was a lot. And being their daughter, all I wanted to do was help. It lit something in me.

That’s what first sparked my interest in nutrition. I actually thought I was going to become a doctor—believing that was the best way to support the people I loved. But when I was faced with medical mandates I couldn’t agree with during COVID, I had to make a tough call and step away from that path. At the time, it felt disappointing. But now, I can clearly see it was God guiding me toward something that was an even better fit.
One of the most eye-opening moments came when my dad made a simple but powerful change: he shifted to eating mostly organic, whole foods. And the results were undeniable—his bloodwork improved dramatically. It was the first time I saw, firsthand, how much impact real food can have.
I decided to dive deeper into nutrition and took a different path. I earned my bachelor's degree in Nutrition from Texas Tech University, then went on to complete two advanced certification programs—one through the Nutritional Therapy Association to become a Nutrition Therapy Practitioner (NTP), and another through Restorative Wellness Solutions to become a Restorative Wellness Practitioner (RWP).

I am thankful to Jesus, both of my parents are healthy and thriving today. And that’s what keeps me going.
I run my own practice with that same mission: I want my parents and loved ones to be around as long as possible—and I want your family to have that chance, too. More time, more energy, and more life together.
I help people get to the bottom of stubborn symptoms like fatigue, blood sugar issues, and weight gain—using functional lab testing, personalized nutrition, and natural strategies that actually make sense. No band-aid fixes. No confusing plans.
Because to me, this is about more than just physical health. It’s about showing up fully for your life. It’s about honoring how God designed the body—with intention and the ability to heal when we give it the right support.
